Outcomes

What teens get out of it

  • Fluency in a real programming language, not a toy
  • Projects they can show: websites, apps, games and AI models
  • Problem-solving and debugging habits that carry into school work
  • Certificates to include in school and college applications
  • A tutor who adapts to how fast they learn

Codinzy's coding classes for teens are live online lessons with an expert tutor, 1-on-1 or in a small group of 2–4 students. Teens who have never coded start at the beginning; teens who already code skip ahead, and the tutor sets the level after the free class.

Each course is project-based: teens leave with a portfolio of websites, apps, games or AI projects they built themselves, and a STEM.org accredited certificate for school and college applications.

Parent Questions

Frequently asked questions

My teen has never coded. Is it too late to start?

No. Teens often progress fastest of all, and most start directly with Python or web development. The tutor checks your teen's level in the free class and recommends a starting point.

Which language should a teenager learn first?

Python for most teens: it reads close to plain English and is used for automation, data and AI. Teens who want to build websites can start with HTML, CSS and JavaScript in the Web Development course.

Will this help with college applications?

Courses end with a STEM.org accredited certificate, a downloadable PDF and a shareable digital badge, and teens build a portfolio of their own projects to show what they can do.

How do the live classes work?

Every class is taught live by a real tutor, never pre-recorded. Choose private 1-on-1 classes (45 minutes, 2–3 a week) or a small group of 2–4 students (60 minutes, 2 a week), scheduled in your timezone. Your child keeps the same tutor every lesson.

How much do the classes cost?

Plus is $6 a class, Premier $12 and Prime $15, in US dollars, and you pay only for the classes your child takes. Every plan starts with a free trial class, with no payment details needed.
