1. Who we are
Codinzy is an online school teaching coding and AI to children and teens in grades 1–12 (about ages 5 to 17) through live classes with a real tutor. The website codinzy.com and our online classroom are run by Codinzy LLC, 30 N Gould St, Suite R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States("Codinzy", "we", "us").
This policy explains what personal information we collect from parents, guardians and students, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to our website, the free trial class, our courses and the student and parent dashboards.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Parent or guardian: name, email address, phone number (including WhatsApp), country and time zone.
- Student: name, age and grade, and the course and schedule you choose.
- Messages: what you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp or the Codzy support chat.
Information created while your child learns
- Class attendance, class activities, projects, quiz and exam results, certificates and progress reports.
- Class recordings: paid live classes may be recorded (video, audio and the shared screen) so your child can rewatch them.
- Feedback that tutors and families give about classes.
Payment information
Payments are processed by our payment providers. We receive the amount, date, plan and payment status, not your full card number.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser type, IP address, pages visited and how you reached our website (for example an ad or a link).
- Cookies and similar technologies, described in section 7.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- book the free trial class and schedule classes in your time zone with your child's tutor;
- teach: run live classes, share class activities, review projects and issue certificates;
- send parents progress reports and show progress on the dashboard;
- take payments, keep billing records and process refunds;
- send class reminders and service messages by email or WhatsApp, and answer your questions;
- keep our platform and accounts secure and prevent fraud;
- understand how our website is used and measure our advertising, so we can improve it;
- meet our legal and accounting obligations.
AI features
- Progress reports are written with the help of an AI model that runs on our own servers, from your child's class records.
- Codzy, our support chat, is an AI assistant. Your messages are processed by our AI provider to write the replies, and a member of our team can read the conversation and take over. Please don't share passwords, sign-in codes or payment details in the chat.
5. Children's privacy
Our classes are for children and teens, so we take extra care. We follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws:
- We ask a parent or guardian to book classes, manage the account and give consent for their child to take part.
- We collect only the information we need to teach and to keep parents informed.
- Classes take place in Codinzy's own online classroom with your child's tutor.
- Parents can review their child's information, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw consent at any time.
If you believe a child has given us personal information without a parent's consent, email privacy@codinzy.com and we will delete it.
6. How we protect your information
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, including:
- encryption of all data sent between your browser and our servers (HTTPS);
- sign-in through secure, HttpOnly cookies, one-time codes and extra verification for staff accounts;
- access to student information limited to the staff and tutors who need it;
- regular security reviews and updates.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as we need it to provide our services, keep billing and tax records, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your account and your child's information sooner (see section 9).
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you or your child;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete your information;
- receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
- object to or restrict some uses, and withdraw consent;
- stop marketing messages at any time (service messages about your classes continue while you are enrolled).
To use any of these rights, email privacy@codinzy.com from the email address or phone number on the account. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act.
10. International transfers
Codinzy teaches families around the world, and our providers operate in several countries, so your information may be processed outside your own country, including in the United States and the European Union. We use providers that protect information to the standard this policy describes.

No. We do not sell, trade or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run classes, payments and support, for those purposes.
Is Codinzy COPPA compliant?
Our classes are for children and teens, so we follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): we collect only what we need to teach, ask for a parent's consent where required, and parents can review, correct or delete their child's information.
Are live classes recorded?
Paid classes may be recorded so your child can rewatch them from their dashboard. Recordings are stored securely with our cloud storage provider and are not published. Trial classes are not available to rewatch.
How do I see or delete my child's information?
Email privacy@codinzy.com from the parent's email address or phone number on the account and tell us what you would like to see, correct or delete.
